See you next year at Sanborn Mills Farm in Loudon, NH
Come join us at Orange County Farmer Museum in Montgomery, New York! We will be updating this page as the schedule develops, but there will be plenty of draft animals from the Empire State working in the woods, the fields, and at the homestead. There will be ground to plow and till, trees to cut, as well as a sawmill and blacksmith shop. A mower repair workshop is also in the plans! We strive to offer something for all experience levels and ages. Plan to visit old friends and meet new ones in New York’s Hudson Valley, close to Newark and Stewart International Airport.
Registration prices for this year’s Draft Animal Power Field Days are
Friday $177, Saturday $90, Sunday $25.
(Friday+Saturday fees include Catered Lunch and Dinner)
Dietary preferences will be recorded upon purchase.
Members receive 20% off the price of registration. A code will be emailed to all active members which can be used on the website at checkout. FREE admission under 12 years old.
NOT A MEMBER? Sign up now and your code will be sent to you —-> https://www.draftanimalpower.org/join-renew
VOLUNTEER ADMISSION TRADES AVAILABLE. Please email Sara Dougherty at dapnetinfo@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer.
Please let us know if paying for admission is a hardship for you and we can try and make something work. Contact dapnetinfo@gmail.com with a little explanation if this is you.
Make sure to fill out your dietary preferences on the registration form (omnivore, vegan and/or GF). We've worked to choose a menu that has something for most folks, features local and tasty food, and can be dispersed and eaten in a timely fashion. Orange County Farmers Museum is located in an area with a selection of convenience stores, grocery stores, and restaurants within a 5-20 minute drive should you need to purchase food. We also encourage everyone to bring their own utensils and water bottle to keep the event as low-waste as possible.
****There will be no food trucks available at DAPFD this year. Our event is an educational conference, we have switched to a “food provided for everyone” deal. Food trucks are not a reliable option for our event. ****

Benefit Auction (Saturday September 28th, 2024)
We’ll be holding our benefit auction on Saturday September 28th. Past crowd favorites have included logging tools, home grown garlic, yoke staples, and a hand made sweater. What will lead to a bidding war this year? Join us and find out!
Do you have an item to donate? Please email Ivy Pagliari hitchpointfarm@gmail.com .
Proceeds for the raffle and the auction go towards providing a stipend for teamsters and educators who make field days possible and to reducing ticket costs for everyone. Thank you for your generous support!
Mower Raffle
We’re excited to announce that the DAPNet Field Days fundraising raffle prize will be a McCormick Deering #7 mower with a 6 foot bar refurbished by Donn Hewes of Donn’s Mower Shop. The finishing touches will be put on this mower during Donn’s Mower Intensive Workshop on Friday.
If a large piece of steel will not fit in your garage or life at this time, you can also choose the more compact option of a check for $1000 and we will auction off the mower immediately after the drawing on Saturday evening. The winner will have 2 weeks after Field Days to collect the mower.
Tickets will be available to purchase at Field Days. DAPNet members will also be getting tickets in the mail. If you’re not a member and can’t make it to Field Days but want a chance at the mower, the money, and to support DAPNET, please email Ivy Pagliari hitchpointfarm@gmail.com .

Volunteering
The DAPFD wouldn’t happen without the hardworking volunteers who donate their time and energy every year! If you're going to be in attendance at this year's event and want to give back to our organization, please consider signing up to be a DAPNet Field Days volunteer.
Our organization offers a rebate of $12.50 per 2 hour shift volunteered for the cost of admission for folks who work one or more volunteer shifts at the event (and you get an awesome, free t-shirt for helping out!). Your participation and volunteerism is what makes Draft Animal-Power Field Days possible.
The main areas where we will need volunteer support are...
Parking
Registration and merchandise table
